The time has come: 79 days after the final fifth play-off final against Alba Berlin to win the championship, the Bavarian basketball team will once again present themselves in their home Audi Dome. After a successful start to the season in Ulm (83-77), Rasta Vechta, who were promoted to the BBL this seas, will be on hand on Wednesday, October 3rd. The game will start on German Unification Day at 15:00 CEST.

Next Sunday, October 7th, the Audi Dome will host the first do-or-die duel of the new season: The defending champion will host the Giessen 46ers for the cup round of the last sixteen, also beginning at 15:00 CEST.

Leon Radosevic could also make his Bavarian jersey debut at the home game premiere against Vechta after the big man had to sit in Ulm due to a bad cold.

"Leon is doing better, but just like Nihad Djedovic, who has some back problems, he is still practising in doses," FCBB coach Dejan Radonjic said on Monday. "Derrick Williams will complete the possible new signing at the beginning of the week, while the remaining physical checks, which he had not been able to do recently due to illness, will be completed.

The Finn Petteri Koponen, Munich's top scorer in Ulm, is eagerly awaiting his first appearance in the Audi Dome: "This is all still new for me here, not only the opponents like Vechta, I'm looking forward to the first home game."

By the way, changes will also be visible in the hall: During the summer break, a state-of-the-art LED lighting system was installed.

Opponent Vechta is back in the BBL for the third time and wants to prevent another direct relegation. Despite an early 19-12 lead in their first game, there was no chance to win at home against Bayreuth as they eventually were dominated 83-67. Topscorer was ned addition, guard Thomas Bray (22 points)

At the home premiere, the supporting program will also be fantastic: three-time German BMX champion and world record holder Chris Böhm will appear, and breakdancers will also perform in the Audi Dome foyer before the match. And for the kids, there will be children's make-up in the BayernLB presenter box - and at the adidas indoor circus area, everyone can take selfies with the champions' cup once again.
