The BBL top match against Oldenburg tips-off on Sunday at 20:00 CET at the Audi Dome.
The duel with the EWE Baskets was actually planned as a showdown between two teams that were still undefeated but last week the team from Lower Saxony lost a bit unexpectedly 97-88 against the surprise team of the league, the Giessen 46ers behind John Bryant. Giessen have now advanced to third place with 10-2 points. After three quarters, it was still even at 69-69 before the Hessians were able to pull away within a few minutes in what would end as a double-digit victory.

Oldenburg is thus with an 8-2 points record, directly behind Gießen in fourth place and will likely be full of excitement and gusto in their game against Bayern. In contrast to Bayern'y crazy schedule, Oldenburg is not represented in any of the four European competitions this season and can prepare for the entire week.
With more than 93 points per game, the Baskets are the second strongest offensive team in the league. The top production comes from the new Point Guard Will Cummings, who won the EuroCup last season with Darussafaka. So far, the American has achieved an average of 19.4 points as a BBL top scorer and has added on an average of 5.6 assists. Former Alba-Guard Vojdan Stojanovski also fits well into the otherwise established group of Rickey Paulding (36/14 ppg), Center Rasid Mahalbasic (12.4 ppg, 7.4 rpg), Frantz Massenat (12.2 ppg) and ex-Bayern player Philipp Schwethelm (11.2).
