  • Macvan scored an average of 10.7 points per game for Milan in Serie A last year. He’s made 82 appearances in the Basketball Champions League and 57 in the EuroCup. During his two years in the EuroLeague at Milan, the 2.06m athlete scored an average of 8.6 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. During his time in the EuroCup, in which Bayern will also compete in mid-October, he scored an average of 11.1 points per game with a shot conversion rate of 58.3 per cent as well as 4.6 rebounds.

    Macvan won a silver medal with his national team along with Bayern coach Djordjevic and the new FCBB guard Jovic at the summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. The Serb played around 15 minutes per game and scored an average of 7.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists in his biggest achievement to date.

    He won silver medals at both the 2009 and 2011 EuroBasket tournaments and he took part in the 2010 World Cup, where his country finished in fourth place. He celebrated winning the 2007 U19 World Cup, at which he was named MVP, with the Serbia national youth team and EuroBasket gold with the U18s (also in 2007) as well as with the U20s in 2008.

    The power forward from Vukovar began his professional career at FMP Železnik in Belgrade and he made his debut in the top Serbian flight at only 17-years-old. His EuroCup debut came in 2008 when he was playing for KK Hemofarm Vršac and he was also named best youth player in the competition. He was the top scorer at the “Nike Hoop Summit” in summer 2009 (23 points) and MVP in the all-star team’s surprise win against the USA.

    He did the double in Israel and reached the final of the EuroLeague with Maccabi Tel Aviv in December 2010, which they lost 78-70 against Panathinaikos Athens. Macvan was drafted by Cleveland in summer 2011 as number 54, but was loaned out to Partizan Belgrade the next season. He achieved the double with the team, who were Serbian champions at the time, and scored 15.3 points and 8.2 rebounds on average in ten EuroLeague games. He played for Turkish heavyweights Galatasaray Istanbul from 2012 until 2014, with whom he celebrated winning the championship in 2013. After a disappointing return to Partizan (2014-15), he went to Milan for two years, where he achieved two cup wins and won the Italian championship title (2016).
